Upgrading the firmware does wonders too. Nothing beats the Sailfish algorithms...

My firmware version is 7.7. I just bought it last month and the manual come with it said not to update the firmware because before shipping they had updated it to the most compatible version.
Can I downgrade firmware if the newer one does not work?
