Some good tuning references?
Hey all,
I've gotten my Prusa I3v up an running, belts tightened and e-steps roughly calculated, now I'm trying to get some good references on how to keep tuning. There is so much information available that I think I am at a bit of information overload in terms of tuning, etc.
If you have any specific references that would be helpful in dialing in my prints I would be much appreciative. I know there are a lot of calibration objects available, but what I'm struggling with is how to interpret the results and take appropriate action. I am pretty good at following instructions, but just don't have the reference points yet to be able to do a lot of diagnosis.
The one issue I am having right now is what I would term "crusties".
I am getting pretty decent prints, but I am getting extra material that is sticking like crusties on the sides of my prints. Most, but not all, of it comes off pretty easily.
Currently I am printing with Maker Geek's 3.0 mm PLA @195 nozzle/60 bed using hairspray. Generally using .2 mm layer height.
I'd appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance!
Bill
