It's like a Band-Aid on steroids. The BioScope, a patient monitoring device 3D printed from soft NinjaFlex, might one day be used to monitor and diagnose medical conditions remotely without the use of the typical hardwired connections used in current methods. A team of students at National Taiwan University developed the idea to take advantage of advances in "wearable technology," and they say it's even capable of capturing the sounds of a patient's body through a tiny, bell-shaped apparatus designed to function like a traditional stethoscope.
