Liam MacLeaod at the Culinary Institute of America is the entity's advanced manufacturing specialist. He works with a retrofitted 3D printer to create complex, sculptural edibles while trying to understand how such a tool could benefit the workflow in a kitchen. While the school does not yet regularly integrate 3D printing in to its curriculum, the machine is available to those with a particular interest in it.
