Corben White is one teacher who certainly believes in the value of 3D printing in his students' lives--and in his curriculum. Since last spring, we've seen some impressive projects from White's classroom, including CO2 cars and a jelly bean dispenser. Now, one of his students has a project of his own to show. 18-year-old Uriah Jones designed a moving Ferris wheel, following an assignment in White's CAD design class to make a toy with moving parts. As the small high school does not have its own 3D printer, Jones had access to his teacher's machine and to another school's printer. Designed in 17 pieces and taking 20 hours of print time, the Ferris wheel is an impressive design--and Jones has made it available for download on Thingiverse.
