Time Capsule in Baltimore to Have 3D Printed Tinkets Within

His company, Direct Dimensions, Inc., made 3D-printing history--and American history, for that matter--when it replaced objects in the original cornerstone time capsule with 3D printed replicas of components of the statue of George Washington that tops the column. I love stories like this one. I hope more artifacts like this can be 3D printed and used to preserve history, even just for an as-it-was-then look so future studies can look back and follow the timeline of item degradation by comparing with such an in-depth look.
