I would probably stick to MakerBot's filament if you are using one of their printers. At least that's what they recommend.
I've heard a lot about this. Unfortunately I don't have the know-how to actually build one myself. After looking at that appropedia page, I'm left very confused. Are people actually building these...
I've tried using the Kinect as a scanner, and the results were pretty terrible. It's something that you can do for fun in your spare time, but the results aren't anything spectacular. I'd suggest...
Robert, I agree 100% on this. Let's see. The fork, it looks like it will bend at when picking up a bite of steak. The spoons have holes in them, which is just ridiculous. The knife looks like it...
Just saw a PR about this today. It's a new 3D Printer that is said to have 100X's better resolution then current consumer level 3D Printers.
Here are some stats:
Printing technology:
Didn't know exactly where to post this. Just thought it was cool. This guy made an in game 3D Printer for Minecraft.
Check out the video.

A new company (I believe it is new) is out with an app that allows people to make copies of their keys. You just download the app from the iTunes store...
Have you tried starting from scratch? That's what I'd suggest. Can't think of any other solution.

What does a printer like this cost you?
Looks interesting, but I doubt they will get funded at the rate they are going. Kinda unfortunate.

What is the price on this printer? It certainly looks like it can get the job done.
I agree with Mcbride. I think it's best to start with the SD2, and later buy something bigger/better if you think you need it. The SD2 is a very handy printer that seems to get most jobs done.
I was watching a video about this printer. They said filament costs about $50 to print approximately 15 items. Seems a bit pricey to me. Is that normal pricing for filament?
For those of you unfamiliar with the RepRap, This is why RepRap is so awesome. Self replicating printer!

I know they like this forum and have tweeted about it. Why don't they make an update about it so that all their members can help discuss their product here. I know it's not an official site but it...
I'm getting a bit worried. Haven't had any update in a while about the Peachy Printer. Would be nice to hear/see something from them today or tomorrow.
It seems logical to me that these big named printer manufacturers will eventually get into making 3D printers. The question is, "When"?
If they wait much longer, it will be too late. These...
Awesome idea. Hopefully they utilize it. Definitely makes more sense than spinning the raft LOL
You guys still looking for moderators?
My guess is that we will initially see them coming to stores like Office Depot, and then after a couple years they will be cheap enough and productive enough that the average household will have one...
I've never seen anything like this before. Are there actually printers on the market that use this method?
Does anyone know if there will be any distributors of the Peachy Printer in other places other than North America? Reason I ask is because I need it shipped to Europe, and once I get it I will want...
