    Airbus Officially Unveils Thor, 3D Printed Plane

    Airbus has finally officially unveiled Thor, the completely 3D printed umanned aerial vehicle. Presented at a recent air show, visitors were able to get a gander at the windowless UAV that is 13 feet long and weighs 46 pounds, and said to fly beautifully. It will currently be used to fly riskier missions due to the pilotless feature, as well as performing aerial investigations. Thor, is of course, just a precursor to fully 3D printed jets.     13 feet long and only 46 pounds? Damn.

    Any lighter and it will stay aloft via Archimedes Principle.

    Actually, the EASA regulation has 2 steps : over 25kgs and below for UAVs. So the weight is anything but a surprise. They're skirting a limit is all.
