    Hi Steve,

There are a couple of models I'd recommend in that price range. I have no affiliation with these ebay sales, I'm just using them as examples.

The Wanaho I3 is a really sturdy steel framed machine:

Or if you want to go cheap and nasty, a clone of a clone of a clone:

I recommend a Flashforge, reliable, good support but more expensive - if you want the good quality machine, right now I hear the Quidi is a great starter and great value:

What do you think of the Dremel Idea? I saw one for $650. Do you think the QIDI TECHNOLOGY 3DP-QDA16-01 is better?

I recommend the Qidi, it has been a great machine for me. It is listed for $799 "Buy it Now" on eBay but they have accepted $650 for me via the "Make an Offer" option.

    That's a CTC atocha.

I can see some layer lines down the bottom but otherwise yeah, that's pretty much the output from my CTC.

Lol, the tip of the nose didn't print. Must not have had time to print another one before the photo shoot, or maybe they cut the print short for the shoot.

haha yep, gotta zoom in a little. The front teeth are missing also. Usually for the photo shoot you put your best example on the plate, even though the printer didn't actually print it. Makerbot does this, all staged just like a restaurant menu picture.
