Papa John’s Jins Thingiverse
If one were trying to explain maker culture, Thingiverse would be a great example to start with. The site, which emphasizes individual creativity along with collaboration, really exemplifies the philosophy of the maker movement with its free and open-source design policy. So when a large corporation like Papa John's starts a Thingiverse page for advertising purposes, it raises a few eyebrows. Is this a bad sign, or a harmless gimmick? more pizza related stuff to print.
what's not to like.
And given the number of models that have been ripped of thingiverse and are being sold on other download site - I think crass commercialism reared it's head long ago.
So why not make the most of it :-)

More holiday stuff
I don't see the issue. The stuff has no logos on it and is just another fun ornament to download. Worry when you get coupons in the form of prints

Who exactly is pissed about them having a Thingiverse page? I think it is great. It kicks the door open for literally thousands upon thousands of company's to start consider hiring 3D modeling people to start up their own thing. Brings cool new designs to all of us for free. Pizza is always a good thing as well!
