Hyrel to award ten System 30M printers

Folks,

We're running a contest. Details are at https://hyrel3d2016designcontest.shortstack.com/qJnq0

Short version:

1. Watch the video and submit a design; public voting determines 10 winners; each winning team will get a printer for six months.
2. Later public voting determines one of these 10 teams which will get to keep the printer; Hyrel will determine a second team which gets to keep the printer.

This is open to everyone, even though it's targeted to schools.

Those look like very nice printers! But I don't like the contest. The problem is even if I win, it is likely I will just get 6 months of use of the printer. And then it gets taken away. 6 Months is just enough time to really learn to use the printer, and then I wouldn't have it any more.

You might be given the opportunity to purchase one which has been used (by you) for six months at a discount.

And come on - six months with all the attachments, you do get all the attachments right ?

There are three teams currently on the website. It doesn't matter what you click on, you can't see any actual designs.
Also it says in the rules - 4 months not 6.

None of those entries has sent us the stl yet. The stl will be posted lower down on that page when available.
