Or you could buy 4 brand new Polar 3d printers, $500 cheaper then buying one Makerbot replicator printer with the education discount of $600 per printer.
For about the cost of 2 Makerbot printers, you could buy 10 new Polar 3d printers.

And do you have to buy the 5th gen printer ?
Or can you buy something that works ;-)
Also not so sure about the spinning plate system.
Why not just buy 5 creator pro's :-)
Or 4 cel robox's - they actually meet the health and safety regulations for schools.
And you'd still have £500 left for filament and other necessities

I think that most schools have enough problems already. Don't add to the pile with such a poisoned thing. Or be nice, give them something that works.
In a pragmatic way : save your tax money by not putting them in on such schemes.

can you still get the 2nd gen machiens from makerbot ? Pretty much the best things they ever made.
