Dear @ram3d,
we established ReCoat due to many reasons, as they are already also very clearly worked out in the well written article of 3dprintboard. But for most of all reasons, ReCoat helps to reduce maintenance cost through an easy applicable process. The pouches allow an easy dosing without any manual mixing. The primer that we introduce enables a better adhesion to the substrate of more than 20% of the mostly used original polymeres. This advantage helps to avoid print or mechanical defects from strong pull/peel-forces during the print process. The primer is suited best to the properties of ReCoat for high UV-durability and transparency.

BTW, it is not easy to source Sylgard everywhere, e.g. in the EU, where also high shipping cost are involved.
