Need someone with experience building a Rostock Delta
Hello all,
I am going to be building a Rostock Delta soon and I need to know a few things. Firstly, I need to know exactly how many nuts, bolts and spacers I will be needing and also if I could use aluminium rods instead of smooth rods.
Cheers.Last edited by TehStranger; 05-07-2015 at 10:01 PM.

I do not think you can use aluminum rods. Too soft a finish would not hold up very long.

This is sort of like asking how high is up. Various deltas vary greatly. Most of the hardware is available and cheap in any case. You can swing by any hardware store and pick up the nuts, bolts, and some other parts for a few dollars. As John mentions aluminum rods would not be a good idea. However aluminum extrusions might be a good choice. There are many plans for deltas on sites such as Thingiverse. http://www.tridprinting.com has the BOM for a couple of deltas. http://3dprinterczar.com/shop/3dprin...tock-mini-pro/ is where I got the instructions for mine.

Sorry I forgot to add the link to the OP. Here is the one I will be building: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:17175
I had a look at that site you mentioned and on this page (http://www.tridprinting.com/BOM/Kossel-Legacy/) I found a set of screws, it's called "Kossel Legacy Nuts, Bolts, Screws Kit" should that be enough for the printer I wish to build?
Thanks
