    Cura Settings

    Hi All,

    Does anyone have the settings for the makerfarm 10" 3mm hex? I'm going to give it a try over slic3r and I'm not exactly sure what else I need to change in the settings other then select the Prusa Mendal i3?

    I opened them side-by-side and anything that matched, just copied the value over.
    Cura has an advanced (or expert) settings panel, but I do not think there is any need to change anything there.
    Just make sure that if you are using custom G-code, that you take into account any replaceable variables (I believe Cura uses {variable_name} - in contrast to Slic3r's [variable_name])

    Also don't forget to backup your settings. Cura's upgrade process is just dumb...

    Here's my profile I usually use. It's not perfect, but it works well for me, and about the only settings i change are the speed and infill

    Also, I find the latest revision of Cura to be a bit of a pain, especially since it now does the infill first before the outside perimeters...apparently its for better prints, but I don't see it...

    You should be able to copy this code into a new text file, and name it .ini and then import it into Cura. Keep in mind, I have ABL set up, so you may not need the G29 command

    For my dual extruder I'm actually about to start doing infil first then move to outer perimeters then inner perimeters... Because the infil will catch any extra extrusion.
