NiQ 3D Printed Action Figure Launches on Kickstarter
3DKitbash has already had success with their printable fashion doll figure, Quin, and are now seeking help from Kickstarter so they can reunite Quin with her 11.5 inch tall brother -- NiQ. This company offers an easy to 3D print option for these figures, which are assembled using working joints and interchangeable parts that snap together. There is no glue or smoothing required, and NiQ will be able to wear clothing from other like-sized figures. What is a better way to introduce children to the idea of 3D design, production, and assembly than 3D printable action figures? 3DKitbash needs your help to make their vision, NiQ, a reality. Check out the details: http://3dprint.com/27948/3dkitbash-kickstarter-figure/
Below is a look at NiQ's 3D printing pieces:

I gotta admit, I'm a sucker for these kinds of things, and pledged for one as soon as it opened up. 3D Kitbash is one of those groups that really highlights the difference you get by considering printing concerns from the start of the modelling process, rather than making it an afterthought.
I printed a Quin for my niece and she loves it, can't wait for this one too.

Thanks for a great article on NiQ! I should have mentioned Toon's Instagram feed. He's got lots of fun images of his 3DKitbash Quin and NiQ prints: https://instagram.com/toonramakers/
