3D Printed Working Jet Engine Replica
id.arts has 3D printed a working replica of a 2-axis rotary jet engine for IHI corporation in Japan. The results of the design, modeling and printing are quite phenomenal, especially considering it was all done within a 2 week time frame. They use motors and remote controls from a company called oriental motors to control the speed of the motors. that doesn't look to me as the one in the first picture..
I saw the one at the link you wrote a couple of days ago at a General Electric event in Florence, Italy, where I was with my 3D scan light machine..
I was searching 3D files of the one in the first picture.. not this "kid" version..
