If you take a series of images all around the figure, you can use an application like 123D Catch to generate a 3D model. It's a web-based app, though, and the behind-the-scenes work is done by Autodesk's technicians, so ownership of the IP is somewhat questionable, if that's a concern. http://www.123dapp.com/catch
