Test Your 3D Printers With this Free Print Test Kit
Andreas Bastian from the MAKE 3D Shoot Out 2015 testing team has provided a set of models, with files for you to download in assisting you to test the print quality of your 3D printer with a more rigorous evaluation process, rather than just using layering height as a measurement for the print quality of common low-cost FDM/FFF machines. While a number of details make up what determines the print quality of your 3D printer, many of those aspects affect one another, so an individual evaluation of each item making up 3D print quality is deemed necessary. See more details in the full article: http://3dprint.com/23420/make-3d-printer-quality/
Below is the array of test objects that can be printed:

can't see anything there that'd be any kind of challenge. the overhang maybe. But I've printed steeper ones than that.
Now if you had to print them all upside down (ie: the other way up to how they are in the picture) it'd be a challenge. Or print them in nylon or ninjaflex.
Then you'd have something :-)

It seems to me that the point of those models isn't to challenge your machine but rather to get quantifiable data to check/compare print quality. Those models appear to be designed such that they allow for specific comparisons of one area of print quality at a time rather than printing some owls or something and trying to compare everything at once.
