A few questions re i3v 10"
I received my i3v 10" and quickly got it put together. Now I am calibrating it and I have a few questions. It has the .40 Hex 1.75 hot end and I am using the 12V 30A power supply from amazon.
1. What should the distance be between the hot end and the bed for the home position?
2. The hot end wont heat to over 210. The temp drops when i get to 210. Any suggestions?

If by "home position" you mean X0 Y0 Z0, you want the nozzle to be approx. 0.1mm above the bed, or the thickness of one sheet of printer paper.

My fan is blowing. The ramps are all on their own 12V power supply. Im not using any shroud. The hot end always starts a print a few millimeters above the bed, causing the filament to cool too fast and curl. Is it supposed to be that high off the bed?

You need to adjust your Z endstop lower so that at Z0 you can just barely get a sheet of paper between the nozzle and the glass.

It is set like that. But when it starts printing it raises to like 1/4" off the bed.
