Armadillo model I am currently building in blender3d. I'll probably print it out tomorrow.
4.5 inches long. Cura slicer says about 3.5 hours.

First one I printed yesterday at 4 inches long felt too small. So reprinted today at 6 inches long and much happier with it.

New model. My daughter loves hedgehogs. First print failed so trying again with a smaller print.
Edit: Printed at 4.5" long. Pretty happy with the results from my poor model.Last edited by OG56; 09-04-2022 at 05:52 PM.

Halloween is around the corner and its my favorite holiday. Every year I make a couple of cnc patterns to celebrate. This year I am adding 3d prints into the mix.
My first effort for this year is evil pumpkin first version. Its is currently printing. At 3 inches wide printer says about 11 hours at .2mm layer height and 20% infill.

Dang it. Print failure and filament stuck to the point I can't pull it out. So time to do some disassembly but that will be for another day.
If I don't come back, you know what that means. I broke the machine.

I am still learning. There is something with my model and my machine settings that are not meshing. I have to either print hotter or slower based on my three failures.
I printed at 3 inches = failure. Re-printed at 3 inches = failure. Tried at 2.5 inches = failure. Tried at 2 inches and successful print. All the failures were nozzle jams which happened at around the same point of the print. Got better at clearing them out. lol.
I believe its due to my design with the current machine setting that is causing the failures.Last edited by OG56; 09-13-2022 at 06:56 PM.

Feed me Seymour!
I will be trying to print sometime this week. Need to swap out nozzles. I believe that has been the reason for my last few failed prints.

Well, it was the nozzle that was causing the issues with the previous poor quality and failed prints.
Did a test carve on a new pumpkin model.
So printed my plant model. First one failed due to my design. Re-tweaked and sent back to the printer. Really happy with the print. This is right out of the printer.
