An amazing initiative. Not everyone can afford the 10,000 / 20,000+ prosthetic's on the market already so this is a truly needed way to go.
I do not yet have a 3D Printer, but i have many other skills. From robotics to design work. I have a huge interest in this field and to be honest, if i had better finances would definitely be putting more study, research and development into things new style prosthetics and additions like touch / temperature feedback for arms.
Custom fit prosthetics using scanned information would always be a bonus.
I would also love to be involved in finding potential 'clients'. Visiting specialist areas and hospitals i feel is a must in this area. The best idea would be to work as close as possible with the people in need.Last edited by Valrik; 05-11-2014 at 12:17 PM.
