    Filament Advice

We're working with a Filastruder to create a homemade filament made of a combination of protein and polymers in hopes of using it on an FDM printer one day. Would anyone know of some emulsifiers that could aid in the miscibility of the two unlike substances? Specifically, any that are commonly used with PLA or ABS.

Maleic anhydride is often used to couple polymers in composite form. It is also used as a peptide coupling agent so there is a good opportunity that will work.
Also it's FDA foodsafe approved and not very damaging to the environment. A larger question though is how you are going to retain the protein structures at such high temperatures.
