I have not made up my mind yet, Thou Cura is used the most.
Each slicer has it's own features that I find come in handy so I have them All.
Order in which I use slicers
Cura 15.04.6 ; easiest to operate
Cura 2.7 ; Different layer Height in single Model
Meshmixer ; Manual placing of supports
Slic3r

never heard of ideamaker, have to have a look.
Glad it's not just me, I don't think the latest cura is particularly user friendly.

I did some testing using idealMaker, was testing for another forum user model was a tube with 8 support ears.
Holder_Lower.stl
When sliced the ears are detached from the model, could not determine how to slice with idealMaker so the ears were connected.

Slicing works in Cura.
Cura 15.04.6 Slice

Would still like to determine what setting would be needed in IdealMaker to correctly slice the model.Last edited by Roberts_Clif; 10-20-2017 at 11:03 AM.

Thanks RC, for posting that. For that reason, I don't like ideamaker , and to note S3D has the same issue. (I have to create a forum post over there on S3D to discuss ). I moved to Cura 3.0 and I am very happy. My latest print came out better than the S3D version.
So for now, Cura for me. (the UI is not so bad that you cannot get use to it )

Have you tried a print with infill twice as thick as the shell yet.
You get a really smooth finish ( outer shell ) print with half the print time, and the strength by using the thicker infill layers.
Kickstarter campaing LEGENDARY...
