Yoshii 6 Shooter 3D Printed Revolver
The Yoshee Six Shooter is an all-new 3D printed semi-automatic gun design, created by a college student named Chris and inspired by Cody Wilson's Liberator 3D printed gun. Chris used Tinkercad to design the unique piece, incorporating some ideas from the Liberator (like the springs and spring holder) but fully making it his own. His main goal for the design was to fire multiple shots without the need for reloading .22 caliber bullets. The Yoshee Six Shooter has seven 3D printed parts and a few required non-3D printed components including a brake line, a nail, and a screw. He has not fired live rounds from the gun, but has successfully test fired .22 blanks. Read about Chris' design over at 3DPrint.com: http://3dprint.com/93148/3d-printed-semi-automatic-gun/

Well hell, it's only a very small step of engineering from there to having the act of cocking the hammer also cam the cylinder over to the next chamber. Like, what? Two, three additional parts, max? And a ratchet feature on the backside of the cylinder.

well to be pedantic it's not a semi-automatic.
As the barrel is manually turned and the hammer is manually cocked each time.
It is a very dangerous toy.

This is neither semi-automatic, nor a revolver. This is what you would call a "pepperbox". A revolver has multiple chambers in a cylinder which align with a single detached barrel. In a pepperbox, each chamber has it's own barrel.
" Semi-automatic", in the context of revolvers, means that energy from firing a round is harnessed to rotate the cylinder and cock the hammer, leaving only the act of releasing the hammer to the trigger (which this pistol doesn't even have)...
An example of auto-revolver would be the Webley-Fosbery.
