In my experience thinner layers are only necessary to create higher surface quality where overhangs are since there will be less overhang per layer so less filament droops downward.
Printing slower and with more viscous materials such as Filaflex will help. Layfomm will also be nice for these organic models.
Ensure good bed adhesion with tape, glue/hairspray etc.
Thanks for the tips. That makes sense for overhangs. I don't have any choice other than PLA right now.
That makes sense for overhangs. I haven't had much experience with bridges or supports. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to get supports to break off the easiest. There are lots of options. Similar but different I am still trying to figure out the best options to get rafts to break off easiest. Sometimes I have problems peeling the rafts off of flat objects.
