Phoenix Children’s Heart Center Pioneering 3D Printed Cardiac Library
Many are probably not aware what a pioneer Phoenix Children’s Heart Center has been in creating 3D printed medical models over the years, in collaboration with the Image Processing Applications Laboratory at Arizona State University. Patients like Jemma Starks, almost three and suffering from a congenital heart defect, are not only able to learn about their conditions and impending treatments, but even more importantly, the surgeons are able to navigate through the process and surgeries.
