Students in Shanghai, China certainly embarked on an intense research and design project which resulted in a massive 3D printed project, assisted in assembly by a large robot. Ten large 3D printers and nearly a month went into bringing the Silky Concrete project to fruition. The installation, also referred to as a pavilion is a human-scale structure with three entrances, and was made with a concrete material that adds great strength to its deceptively delicate looking design.
