Bold Machines has just kicked things into gear. Many new projects will be unveiled by the Innovative Workshop of Stratasys in the coming weeks ahead, starting with this incredible dome. Called the Geodesic Dome, Bold Machines worked diligently with Emerging Objects, a company we have discussed in the past, to 3D printed almost 2,000 different pieces which are connected via 5,000 rivets and 1,500 zip-ties. The doe measures a staggering 12 feet in diameter and stands over 8 feet tall. Bold Machines and Emerging objects have been in discussions since 2013, finally revealing this project today. More information regarding this incredible dome along with future Bold Machines initiatives, as well as numerous images may be found here: http://3dprint.com/69416/3d-printed-geodesic-dome/
