ADD + PROCESS 3D Printer by Ibarmia
Spain’s Ibarmia is certainly no stranger to creating innovative and massive machines, but now they’ve entered the 3D printing market with the ADD + PROCESS. Using both laser 3D printing and milling processes, they’ve discovered a way to make large prototypes effectively, with this new machine operating as its own autonomous unit, producing 3D models up to 1.6 meters, or nearly 5.25 feet long. This project, and the ADD + PROCESS 3D printer, were produced by Ibarmia, the University of the Basque Country and the Tecnalia research center. That's an interesting-looking machine, but it's hard to tell how it works from the information provided. Where's the laser - inside that head? What materials does it use, and how? There was something about machining as well as the additive process, but there's no cutting head shown.
Printer will print perfect...
