The 3D Printed Air Racer are Now Available on Thingiverse
The new Air Racer- 3D Grand Prix toy is balloon-powered and 3D printed. The toy's creator, Philippe Disse, is the Creative Director at ÉtoileMaastricht. (He is also known for his creative 3D printed jewelry designs.) The race car is 15 cm long, including an air tube, and it works simply enough by placing a balloon on the driver's head, and blowing into one tailpipe while holding a finger on the other. Then, you place it on the ground and let it power off! His next plan regarding his toy race cars is to have a few more designers make their own 3D Printed Air Racers, and have a 3D Grand Prix. Now if that doesn't bring out your inner child, what will? Read and see more at: http://3dprint.com/27516/3d-printed-air-racer/

The first time I printed an air-powered car, it was far too heavy to move by itself. Given the way this one looks, I'd say the chances of it moving are fairly minimal. The fact that the exhaust does not point along the line of travel means a significant proportion of the propulsion will be wasted, too.
Printer will print perfect...
