While researchers in Australia may be having trouble getting funding for their 3D printed ear prosthetic innovation, they are not letting that stop their progress. Coming together from both the Queensland University of Technology and the Brisbane-based Hear and Say Centre, the researchers have created the FutureHear Project. While they already have the designs for the 3D printed ears and hope to see them in production by next year, the researchers see their next phase as bioprinting specialized implants—and after that the creation of bionics to fine-tune hearing. This project has just been launched on Pozible, where they hope to raise AUD $200,000. Read more at 3DPrint.com: https://3dprint.com/149854/crowdfund...-printed-ears/
