Avi Hasson serves as the Chief Scientist for the Israeli Ministry of Economy research and technological development committee, and he also leads a Magnet Committee which provides grants for industrial concerns which pair up with academic partners on technology projects. Hasson says the committee will be driven by a dozen business clusters and take advantage of a budget of nearly $51 million to examine methods of building titanium parts for aerospace applications.
