The folks over at MIT are really hitting it hard when it comes to creating unique 3D printing innovations. Last week we reported on the Ice Cream 3D printer, which could print objects out of ice cream. Now another group of students at MIT has created a 3D printer that is equipped with a super affordable 3D scanner that can locate an object on the print bed, and then precisely print on top of this. The students demonstrated this working to print on top of a random object, as well as resume previously stopped print jobs. They also explained all the other possibilities that this 3D printer could be capable of. Read more about this amazing machine at: http://3dprint.com/9952/mit-research...art-3d-printer
