Got a little update from Jules Tipler:
The steering wheel and nose tip have both been manufactured using additive manufacturing from powered titanium. This manufacturing method was selected because it allows the engineers to design complex components that would be impossible to manufacture using any other process.
BLOODHOUND SSC is a showcase for high tech manufacturing and a great way of explaining the green credentials to the next generation of scientist and engineers.
