The spring recipient, Shawn Jones, has created a 3D printed prosthetic that allows those missing a leg to run, walk, and swim using a hybrid device that doesn’t have to be switched out or used as an inconvenient, expensive add-on. His prosthetic flipper-foot hybrid can be used for both diving and swimming, as well as on land. Jones will be using his $1000 to launch the new product which should be available in December of 2016.
