    Italian Paleontologist 3D Prints Trilobite Fossil

    Thanks to the 3D printing prowess of Materialise, Dr. Gianpaolo Di Silvestro, an Italian paleontologist and the CEO of Trilobite Design Italia, has been able to replicate extinct trilobite fossils in 3D printed form. After collaborating with Italian architect and 3D designer Francesco Baldassare, Dr. Di Silvestro had his trilobite models printed at Materialise's Italian office, one of which is currently on display at the Royal Ontario Museum in Canada.     if i remember correctly trilobites were one of the longest lived species - in terms of species longevity not individual longevity - ever.

    technically the common woodlouse is a relative, so maybe they're still going lol

    Very cool models.
