Veterinarian students from the University of Illinois turn to the school's Rapid Prototyping Lab to 3D print life-sized models of a wild eagle's fractured left humerus. Using two models, one of the fracture and another of a normal humerus, avian surgeon Dr. R. Avery Bennett was able to perform the complex surgery in just three hours.
