If you attended this summer's Comic Con in Kansas City, you would have seen hundreds of people lining up for the chance to be scanned in their costumes. The scanning took place in artist Jo Kamm's 3D print photobooth which utilizes a camera-rigged Kinect sensor and a human scale turntable to capture images of a person to be put together in a 3D digital model. That model can then either be painted or printed in glow-in-the-dark plastic, according to the tastes of its owner.
