3D printing and robotics continue to converge with the latest creation by researchers at Harvard. They've created a robot that is includes both rigid and soft components all 3D printed into one design. Using Oxygen and butane as well as special inflatable legs, it has the ability to jump up to 6 times its own heigh, before safely landing without any damage to its components. The idea could bring on much safer human/robotic interaction, as well as combine the benefits that soft robotics provides with the reliability of hard robotics.
