To perform best on the job, it's critical to have the best tools for success, as technicians at Ford's Beech Daly Technical Center have come to realize. Ford employs 3D printing in prototyping as well as some end-use production, and the company's technicians are also using the technology to enhance their on-the-job performance to create tools that maximize efficiency. Technician Kevin Sowles has produced several handy tools, like a large sifter to easily remove small 3D prints from the powder bed and vacuum attachments to easier clean newly printed parts, that are being used around the Beech Daly facility.
