Not surprising at all. I expect all along that they would remain targeting business users. That's where all the money is for a big corporation like HP

This has a lot of potential in my opinion. However, I agree, he shouldn't use the term holographic, because it isn't holographic.
Can someone recommend what a good wall thickness is on prints using PLA? I'm printing stuff like vases, and mostly display items. Is 1/8" good or can I make it even lower? Is there a formula to use...
This guy has to be a bit crazy, but amazing! Like the article stated, this would be a great way to customize high-end cars. I hope so much that Florea is able reach some agreements with car...
The Eventorbot is very unique. It moves the build plate in the Z and Y directions while the extruder moves in the X direction. See the video below:

Today I was visiting the Flashforge website and I saw that they have a new 3D printer coming out, which i was totally unaware of. It's called the dreamer. Does anyone know when this is being...
Great invention. I'm still debating on if this is 3D printing or 2D printing though :) For $300, this product is priced within reach of most people. If it works as well as they say, it could be a...
I haven't even considered this. Definitely a cheap method. I wonder if it will hold up in the long run. I know I always have issues with Hot glue. After about a month it is ready to be reglued...
Just saw that this book was release sometime last month. It's titled "Printing Things" and it is all about 3D printing. It shows projects that can be created using 3d printers, as well as...
This is an old video, but I found it very fun to watch. They are actually 3D printing fishing bait. You know the soft rubbery bait you use when you go fishing, in place of real live bait? Pretty...
I must say that I am impressed quite a bit by these prints. For a $300 printer, they are very good.
A designer named Ashley Webster printed this as part of a project. The project was to take a very simple box and print it as originally and interesting as possible. This is what she came up with...
I wonder what he plans on doing with this once he finishes it. Does he plan to donate it to a museum, keep it for himself, or sell it? I imagine he'd have people lining up to buy it.
wow, quite impressive for being only 15 years old. I am not familiar with the Repraps, but the Replicator 2X is a good dual extruder printer. Probably my favorite.
Does anyone here own a Replicator Z18 or at least have a good amount of experience with one? I'm strongly considering going in on one with a few buddies of mine, but would love to hear a little...
Sounds like fun. I might give this a try. I love how Sketchfab is always holding these creative 3d printing related contests.
I'd definitely use the Filabot over the liquid niitrogen/blender option. Seems like that would be way too much trouble. $439 is a bit high for a machine that shreds filament, but in the long run it...
Hmm, I don't know. I thought it was mostly the same for all printers, but I do own the specific one in the video so I guess I could be wrong...
Does anyone know if the M3D has auto leveling and auto calibration?
Nice! I think a lot of people buy the Sense scanner hoping to use it in a way some use the Makerbot digitizer. It's not meant for scanning small detailed objects. It's meant for doing cool stuff...
I found this video on Makergeeks.com and found it extremely useful so I thought I'd share :)
It explains how to level your build platform, for those that are wondering.

I have owned my 3D Printer for about 1 1/2 years now, and I must say I still haven't gotten bored or tired of it. I use it about 4 days a week, and have printed at least 125 different items so far.
What ever happened with the Rubicon 3d scanner? It ended up getting funded, but I haven't really heard anything about it since. Have they shipped out any of their scanners yet? Do they work?
Let's hear your biggest complaints about 3D Printing. Here are mine:
- Way to slow to really prototype my designs, or make anything quickly.
- Quality is still lacking in most at home printers...
This could work, but I doubt it will happen. It would be just too difficult of a business model in my mind. There are people out there willing to pay thousands of dollars for printers, so I doubt...
