This is amazing. When does the KS project launch?
Every day I hear from my friends, telling me that I never creating anything practical on my 3D printer. When I got to thinking about it, they are right. I just made cool little Doo Dads, and never...
I've had very brief use of all three, and I would say from those experiences I would go with either a SD 4 or the Dreamer. If you want American Made, and slightly better support go with the SD4. If...
I'm looking forward to the launch! Can't wait to see this in action.
RepRap is still growing. It's crazy how many new people buy reprap kits each day, and you can only imagine how many more printers they are making for their friends daily as well. It's a movement,...
This question is like asking, "Is it worth buying a smartphone now". It depends if you need one, want one, and if you have the money. Like others have said, technology always improves. There are...
This is a very clever idea. Looks pretty good. How is it holding up so far?
This is probably the first item on the digital store that I think is actually worth paying for. You don't see stuff like this on Thingiverse very often. All the other stuff was commonplace on...
My guess is that they don't really know yet. They may be waiting on funding something else. They may also be awaiting confirmation of partnerships with 3D printer manufacturers.
I have been considering purchasing the cheap filament on eBay for some time now. It's just so tempting. I have seen prices as low as $12.99 per roll at some points. However, I just saw this guy on...
I haven't ordered one, but as far as I know they have already shipped. I saw someone post some photos on google+ yesterday. He refers to it as the Printrbot Metal Simple. I assume this is the same...
Francis Bitonti's houseware collections are now available to download and print using your at-home printers.
They are only priced at $1.00 each which is next to nothing. Check some of these out:...
Geoff has a really good idea. Did you ever print this out? I'd love to see a photo and hear how it came out.
Wow, that's pretty narly looking. Is this the "New" Printrbot, or is this something totally different?
Actually according to the thingiverse post, this was done with a Digitizer. I only wish I could find the post now. I forget what it was titled.
I've seen quite a few really nice looking scans, so I don't know what the factor is here, causing some people to have some awesome scans, while other have terrible scans. Here is one I saw on...
I noticed that they have the Gen 5 replicators for about $50 less than retail.

Anyone find them any...
Cool idea, but I'd rather just see people recycle their filament, rather than worrying about it biodegrading. We could save a ton of money and resources by recycling plastics.
Here are some more photos from someone that attended.

Seems like there was lots of cool stuff to see. Hopefully I'll make the next...
