Why don't you just act as though you are changing the filament. This pauses printing for however long you would like.
Hey my dad is 65, and he has been using a 3D printer for over a year. He asks me a lot of questions but he's pretty good with it.
What's funny is that all of his friends are always asking him to...
Are there any filaments out there that can withstand temperatures of 250-270 degrees?
I like how this is smaller than the 3Doodler. It's probably more detailed as well. Here is their promo video

This doesn't surprise me at all. Concrete, I would think would be one of the easier materials to print with on a large scale. These large 3D Printers will be popular in the future, no doubt about...
Crazy, crazy....
This could revolutionize the tattoo industry, and be very affordable. Perhaps you won't need to go to a tattoo palor to get your next tattoo. Not if you can have one of these in...
Wow, I'm drooling over this printer. Only if I had an extra $6499 sitting around I'd order it today.
For those interested in seeing what MakerBot is about to announce. The live press conference will be held at 7PM ET, and can be viewed at:...
I agree. Maybe we can? Does anyone know if the app allows you to export the file?
Can anyone tell me what the advantages of a RepRap model printer would be over one of the MakerBot models? I've been debating which I should get for a late christmas gift, and really can't make up...

Thanks for that list John. It's very helpful. I was aware of Hotends.com but never new of the others. This should make shopping for replacement parts so much easier!
For some reason, I love the way this printer looks. However, what exactly is the selling point on this? Why not just go out and buy a Replicator 2? Does this printer do something that current 3D...
No sure the whole point of this, but I like polls :)
Hmm, I may have to take a look at this. Been looking for a new job for a while now, and I couldn't imagine a job I would like more!
3D Printers will make their way to more homes once you can print in 5+ different materials and any color you want, all on 1 printer. I don't feel we are really that far off (perhaps 5 years or...
Very Very interesting. I don't see why someone into Train building wouldn't be interested in this. However, I'm not exactly a model train expert.

So they basically make a mold of your teeth and build the brushes around them. Genius! Here is another photo I found on Mashable.

Perhaps an all in one? 2D Printer / 2D Scanner / 3D Printer / 3D Scanner / Fax Machine / Scan to Upload / Print from USB (file) ?
I truly believe that the Solidoodle 3 is very comparable to the Replicator 2 and most RepRap printers.
I'm liking the changes they've made in 2.3. At first it felt a bit different, but now I'm really getting used to it. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes out in 2.4 and 2.5.

Is that transparent? Must say it's pretty awesome. Everytime I see a piece of 3D Printed clothing, it reminds me of the people in Hunger Games. Perhaps the movie/book is correct in depicting the...
When will we wee the backerkit invites start going out. I was under the impression it should have started happening by now.
Matt
I don't believe 3D printing will truly catch on until there are at-home printers that can print in plastic, metals, wood, clay and other substances all at once (for the same object). Once printers...
