    that is a weird one.

    I'd have gone for the sd card - but if you've re-formatted it and tried a different one - not that.

    The other obvious one would be the motherboard overheating - but doubtful it'd happen on 2 boards.

    Check the cards are formatted with fat32 and NOT exfat.
    Could still be that.

    Thanks for the suggestion. I went ahead and gave it a try and reformatted an 8GB SD Card as a FAT32 (it was before). I then re-attempted the print and got the same issue.

    I had read about a similar issue on other printers where thye would freeze like this and some users had determined the problem was due to the board getting insufficient voltage and browning out. I double checked the voltage output from the power supply and unfortunately it's rock solid at 24V which is what the board is expecting.
