Building an Extruder? Possible?
Has anyone actually ever built their own Extruders? I was experimenting with the idea. Is it something that is realistically possible or something that isn't worth wasting your time on?

It doesn't require any special skills beyond the ability to hold a spanner. I'm in the process of building a dual extruder - the most difficult part is not dropping the M3 nuts about the place. You may spend some time tweaking the plastic parts to get them just how you want them, but there are plenty of designs on thingiverse to start from.

???? Uh, everyone has been for the last ??? five, seven + years? Go to RepRap.org, Thingiverse.com and simply Google..... This is the AGE OF MAKING.... We are ALL making extruders, hot end, heated beds, filament holders, guides, carriages, sleds, electronics, printers, and on and on .... :-D
Don't forget to show what you make. ;-)
