Can not print less than .2 mm on my replicator 2X
I have had the printer for a couple of years now and have yet to be able to print .15 or .1 mm on my replicator 2X
I level the bed and set the gap using the Makerbot business card which is .14mm thick. My Printer is stock I use stock temps and print ABS.
I never have any problems with .2 or .3mm. Does anyone have any suggestions
Thanks.

so what happens, does it not stick ?
Given that you are calibrating with a gap larger than the layer size you want to print. I would imagine it just plain wouldn't stick.
That would seem to be the logical answer.
Try using some 80gsm paper instead of a piece of card.
My normal calibration paper is 90gsm (gets digital calipers out - 0.03mm). I have - maybe twice - printed at 0.1mm, don't recall any issues.
The only time I did it with abs I did use a raft, but then I had to use a raft for abs anyway or it just would not stick. Horrible stuff.
But my guess is you're just calibrating way way too loosely.Last edited by curious aardvark; 06-03-2016 at 03:19 PM.
