Researchers 3D Print Pills on Form 1+ SLA 3D Printer
The evolution of 3D printed medication continues, as researchers explore a variety of technologies, materials, and chemical bases. Researchers at University College London – School of Pharmacy and FabRx Ltd., have 3D printed oral tablets using SLA technology, which offered much greater results over a previous study using an FDM 3D printer. Using an Form 1+ SLA 3D printer, they were able to get very good results making pills in a more difficult doughnut shape. I suppose this is some kind of breakthrough, but I don't think those photopolymers are something you'd really want to eat; Formlabs certainly wasn't recommending that last I heard...
