A JavDev Coding post explains that it isn't that difficult to convert game code into a 3D printable model. One route for accomplishing this is to use Shapeways SVX format, which converts 3D pixels (voxels) into 2D slices that can make up an STL file for 3D printing. You have to make some adjustments -- such as adding a base, managing distance between structures in the model, and dealing with loose shells -- but all in all, it is not as complex as it first sounds.
