Plug in for Meshmixer?
Novice so bear with me.
Can a plug in for Meshmixer be created to make certain functions easier to perform than the standard version? The industry is scanning body parts, altering that body part and then an appliance is printed to fit that body part which will be worn by the patient. Orthotics and prosthetics.
3D scans are taken with the Structure Sensor and Apple Tablet.
Does anyone know of an engineer that could design this or a separate CAD software for this application? Cost?
Thanks!

I suppose you might be able to find someone to hack into Meshmixer and add functions to it, but it would be a lot easier if you got Autodesk to cooperate with you.
What exactly do you need to do that it won't do for you? There are other software products you can buy and not have to write yourself. I find that Geomagic Sculpt works well for dealing with scanned-in organic models, modifying them, and producing things to fit them. It comes with a haptic arm that makes the interface simpler and more intuitive than trying to work in 3D with 2D tools.
